Today’s line of outdoor furniture consists of pieces that could be considered works of art. These exceptional pieces are often costly but can be worth the price. The unfortunate part of owning these pieces is that they can degrade quickly in the weather, especially if any part of it consists of fabric. To avoid losing their investments, some people are turning to resin furniture. Furniture that is made from resin is very durable and resistant to all weather conditions. While not quite as extravagant in design as some of the other pieces on the market, they can come in many styles and colors.
When combined with a soft fabric pad, resin furniture can be exceptionally comfortable. This is the case with Kettler’s “Roma” resin chaise lounge. This outdoor lounger allows users to sit upright or lie flat. This is made possible due to the adjustable back section. The back portion can be changed between four different positions on the fly. In addition to the back section, the foot portion an also be adjusted between three positions. The foot section can sit in the downward position while entering the chair and then adjusted as needed.
The adjustability is created by the “track and latch” system which adjusts to a desired position and then locked securely into position. When not in use, the chaise lounge can be folded into a compact shape and leaned up against the house or put in a shed. Two wheels on the back of the lounge allow it to be rolled around the yard without strain. The wheels are lined with rubber for maximum traction. The high impact resin is designed to resist scratches, staining chipping and warping. Cleaning is very easy-just spray it off with some water and let dry. Some minor assembly of the wheels is required.
Inuit throat singing is a vocal game once used to amuse children and women while men were out hunting. It is practiced almost exclusively by women. Sisters Karin and Kathy Kettler carry on the rarely heard Inuit throat singing tradition and other age-old forms of Inuit entertainment such as drum dancing and a ja ja songs.
